Operational Principle
The Venturi Mask is an oxygen delivery system that administers, regulates, and supplements oxygen to a patient to increase arterial oxygenation. This system operates by using the Venturi principle, entraining specific volumes of air with a high flow of oxygen to prepare a precise, fixed concentration required for administration, independent of the patient’s breathing pattern.
Key Features: Color-Coded Concentration System
The defining feature of this system is the use of five different color-coded diluters. These attachments regulate the amount of room air drawn in, which dictates the final percentage of oxygen concentration delivered to the patient. This ensures medical staff can quickly and accurately set the exact oxygen percentage needed for therapeutic efficacy.
Color-Coded Diluter Specifications
- Blue: 24% Oxygen Concentration
- Yellow: 28% Oxygen Concentration
- Green: 35% Oxygen Concentration
- Pink: 40% Oxygen Concentration
- Red: 60% Oxygen Concentration
